St Ives House belongs to a retired couple who have different taste and who also brought divergent wishlists for their new build. With the husband's preference for neutrals and the wife's love of colour, the challenge on this project was how to deliver to the unique briefs of both clients.
The result is a flowing contemporary home featuring a palette of whites and soft neutrals, smoked oak flooring and bespoke joinery with clean simple lines. Splashes of Azur blue are dotted throughout the home - a nostalgic hue for the clients after holidaying in the Mediterranean.
A warm and relaxed feeling was introduced in the form of Danish-designed tan leather armchairs and a contrasting charcoal bookshelf in the kitchen cabinetry, to display cookbooks, colourful ceramics and art. As has become distinctive to our work, sculptural pendant lights and imperfectly textured tiles are featured throughout.
